The time to get started is now
Our online application has made getting started with Academic Answer® an easy process. Here's how it works. Simply fill out the form provided by our servicing partner AES, on their Web site. Be sure to have your contact information, Social Security number, driver's license, and two references not living with you on hand before you begin. Completion takes about 15 minutes.
Once you submit your application, you will receive an immediate credit decision. You may also need to provide supporting documentation. A comprehensive list of documentation you may need to provide can be found here.
Will I be eligible?
- Must be enrolled at least half-time in a degree program at an eligible school.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (if applicable, please be sure to provide necessary documentation).
- You must be the legal age of majority or at least 17 years of age with a cosigner who is legal age of majority.*
- Your permanent residence is NOT in Illinois, Iowa, Texas, Washington, or Wisconsin. (Permanent residents of Illinois are restricted from cosigning for an Academic Answer loan as well).
- Many borrowers will need a cosigner. With a creditworthy cosigner, you have a greater chance of getting approved.
* The legal age for entering into contracts is 18 years of age in every state except Alabama and Nebraska (19 years old), and Mississippi and Puerto Rico (21 years old).
